The consultation will take place over a 12 week period (following the Compact – Code of Practice on Consultation and Community Engagement) and seek to engage with a wide range of voluntary and community organisations operating across East Sussex.
The consultation will commence on 8th May 2007 and end on 31st July 2007. The results of the Consultation will be published in the early autumn 2007. The document follows five main headings in reviewing how ESCC:
- ensures our joint activities with the VCS are focused on our priorities;
- encourages, supports and celebrates volunteering;
- can improve communication with the VCS and, where needed, ensure a consistent, single message;
- provides support activities e.g. ESCIS, training, bidding bulletin, funding source requests, bidding, and related training; and
- ensures grant giving by the County Council is co-ordinated internally and potentially with other funders, including Health Boroughs & Districts and the Police.
