We always welcome new members to ESCVYS and there is no fee to join.
Groups and organisations must meet certain criteria to become members. See below to review the conditions of membership.
If you are a new organisation or do not meet all the criteria, ESCVYS can help you achieve meet these before your membership is approved.

ESCVYS Membership Criteria
To become a member of ESCVYS, organisations should:
Be a voluntary youth organisation- an independent, self-governing body of people who have joined together voluntarily to take action for the benefit of the community and young people and established for reasons other than financial gain
Provide services that benefit and improve the lives of young people
Be either a registered charity, or an organisation with its aims, objectives and working methods stated in a document available for public inspection such as a constitution.
Be located in England or, if operating UK-wide or internationally, have headquarters located in England
Support ESCVYS's purposes, aims and values
Have the relevant policies and procedures in place for working with young people. As a minimum these should be child protection, Criminal Records Bureau checks, an Equal Opportunities statement/policy and involving young people in decision making/service delivery, for example a youth participation policy
Have an active, registered, organisation bank account and accounting procedures in place
If these policies are not in place we can help you to establish them prior to your membership being approved.
Before considering any application ESCVYS will:
Ascertain the organisation's role and what benefits they are seeking from ESCVYS
Ensure ESCVYS membership is more appropriate than membership to another body
Provide clear information about ESCVYS's roles and remits
