Quality Marks

Guide to Quality Systems in the Youth Sector

With funding from VCS Engage, the NYA and NCVYS have published a short publication on quality assurance in the youth sector. The joint mini-guide - Raising the Standards - is designed to provide information and guidance on quality assurance systems for the youth work sector and raise the profile of such systems with policy makers, funders and commissioners.

What is a quality mark?

A quality mark is a recognised set of standards, policies and procedures that organisations can implement in an effort to raise their efficiency. The most well know quality marks within the voluntary and community sector are PQASSO and Investors in People. However, specialist quality marks are also available for organisations working with children and young people.
